When I heard that paper engineer Matt Shlian was putting together a book that would showcase his work, I knew I would NEED to have one. So when it became available and thank you Twitter for allowing good news to travel so fast, I snapped one up. It would be a lovely addition to my small but growing home library, dedicated to books about paper of course, a subject I truly adore.

Murq is a hardcover, 120 page, signed and numbered, limited edition (of 100) little beauty of a book. It is a beautiful collection of Matt’s drawings, designs and 3 dimensional paper works and also a great compilation of diverse paper forms from adorable pandas to perfectly precise models and more.

These photos I shot today show some of my favourite pages in the book. There are many more but I gotta draw the line somewhere, otherwise there will be no surprises left for those of you awaiting your very own copies!

The drawing above is signed by Matt and comes with the book. It’s such an intricate and beautiful design and I can’t wait to get it framed and up on the wall. Thanks Matt!
