So here are the 25,000 cut-paper moths I promised to show you. Yes I know, they are amazing! This installation is the work of Mexican artist, Carlos Amorales, (http://www.yvon-lambert.com/carlos_amorales-A1.html) one of the exhibiting artists in Slash: Paper Under the Knife. (http://collections.madmuseum.org/html/exhibitions/485.html) This work titled *Black Cloud* was created by sticking 25,000 black paper moths on the walls, ceiling, beams, corridors and even bathrooms of the exhibition space and studio. Talk about an invasion! Above: *Black Cloud* (Installation view), 2007.

Paper moths down the hallways and in the bathrooms.
I hope you’re enjoying this little overview so far. Coming up you’ll see how something as uninspiring as printed medicinal instructions can be made into inspiring art.
