“My work in handmade paper concentrates on the membrane of the page as an expressive form in its own right, not simply as a support. To me, a sheet of paper represents a unique conjunction of the human capacities for making and for communicating. The objects I make are the result of thinking through the implications of this dialogue between material and experience.”

Susan Warner Keene‘s beautiful handmade works are on show now at the David Kaye Gallery in Toronto. I wish I could go. It’s on until March 25 for you lucky locals.

P.S. Hello. I’ve been so busy with side projects this year. Finding time to blog has been difficult. Still there is so much to share and I shall continue to share it, but just a bit slower than usual so please bare with me.
